Uncompromising Vault Security

Designed from the ground up for privacy, cryptography, and zero-knowledge compliance.

Zero-Knowledge Fernet AES-256

Your entries are encrypted using 300,000 iterations of PBKDF2HMAC SHA-256. Plaintext data exists strictly in memory during unlocked sessions.

2-Factor Key File Authentication

Enhance your vault protection by requiring an offline secret .key file in combination with your Master Password to derive keys.

Desktop Context Menu UX

Right-click any entry or folder node for instant quick actions: copy username/password, open URLs, create subfolders, or rename categories.

Automated Password Health Audit

Scans your vault for weak passwords, reused credentials, and expired entries, providing an overall Vault Security Index Score (0-100%).

Inactivity Auto-Lock & Auto-Clear

Configurable inactivity timers automatically lock your vault when idle, while clipboard copies are automatically cleared after 30 seconds.

Encrypted JSON & CSV Import

Export encrypted JSON backups re-encrypted with export keys, or seamlessly import standard CSV files from Chrome, Bitwarden, or KeePass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about KeyKeep architecture.

KeyKeep uses PBKDF2HMAC with SHA-256 and 300,000 iterations combined with a unique 16-byte salt per user. Your Master Password is used to derive the Fernet key in session memory and is never saved in plaintext.

When enabled, KeyKeep requires both your Master Password AND an uploaded 32-byte .key file to derive the vault encryption key. Even if an attacker gains access to your password, they cannot decrypt your vault without the physical key file.

Yes! KeyKeep includes a CSV import tool supporting standard fields (Title, Username, Password, URL, Notes, Category). You can migrate your existing passwords in seconds.
